What I love about my 1 year olds

So I had plans to write a letter to both of my babes on their birthday, but as you can see that has not happened. So two months later I have finally got my act together and decided to list some of the things that make me crazy in love with these two little men.

Ryder...
  • Whenever you smile at me I feel like I have just been given a gift.
  • I love that you always give an extra snuggle or share a little longer hug.
  • You have a passion for music and I love that you shake your booty every time you hear it.
  • You have amazing strength and I have learned more from you in your short life than I ever thought possible.
  • You talk non-stop but you have yet to say a 'real' word
  • You have more teeth than your brother but rarely use them for anything but eating (good boy!)
  • I love that you make me slow down and enjoy being the mother of our three ring circus.

Tucker...
  • You smile at the world and the world loves to smile back at you.
  • You like to take toys away from your brother but I also witness your kindness when you give away a piece of banana or share your pacifier.
  • You have 4 teeth on top but only 3 on the bottom but this has not held you back from eating everything I put in front of you.
  • I love that you race over to the dog food bin when your daddy goes outside to get the bowls and that you insist on 'helping' him fill those bowls up.
  • I love the way you say 'Ball'... hard to describe but it makes me smile every time
  • I love that you allow everyone around you to feel your joy with your giggles and your squeals.

You both keep me on my toes every day and I’m ready to be on my toes the rest of my life watching the amazing things I know you will do. Here are some very belated pictures from their birthday.
At their 1 year check up!

Seattle g and g visit

Amma and Boppa came for a visit last month and we had such a good time. The weather was incredible and so we spent most of our time outside. It was our first time at the Safari Park and we had such a blast. Jax got his face painted and we took the tram all over the park. All day long we could not believe that it was January and we were all wearing short sleeves. The awesome reality of living in San Diego is slowly starting to sink in.

We spent quite a bit of time in La Jolla walking around and enjoying the beaches. Once again it was really hard to believe that we live here and that we get enjoy this weather all the time.
One day we went down the the Marina and checked out all the old boats. Jax was thrilled to be able to walk around on a REAL pirate ship and a REAL submarine. We also went our on a a harbour cruise and got to see all the sights. Jax ended up getting a little sea sick and reminded me that "I was not made for boats mama." We had such a good time anyways and plan on going back again some time soon.
Amma and Boppa were around for the babies first birthday and their cake smash! I will put up pics in the next blog post once I get my act together. We were so happy to have them visit and can't wait for them to come again soon!
