Seattle g and g visit

Amma and Boppa came for a visit last month and we had such a good time. The weather was incredible and so we spent most of our time outside. It was our first time at the Safari Park and we had such a blast. Jax got his face painted and we took the tram all over the park. All day long we could not believe that it was January and we were all wearing short sleeves. The awesome reality of living in San Diego is slowly starting to sink in.

We spent quite a bit of time in La Jolla walking around and enjoying the beaches. Once again it was really hard to believe that we live here and that we get enjoy this weather all the time.
One day we went down the the Marina and checked out all the old boats. Jax was thrilled to be able to walk around on a REAL pirate ship and a REAL submarine. We also went our on a a harbour cruise and got to see all the sights. Jax ended up getting a little sea sick and reminded me that "I was not made for boats mama." We had such a good time anyways and plan on going back again some time soon.
Amma and Boppa were around for the babies first birthday and their cake smash! I will put up pics in the next blog post once I get my act together. We were so happy to have them visit and can't wait for them to come again soon!

SoCal Christmas

Spending Christmas in San Diego was fantastic. Nana and Papa flew in the weekend before the holidays and we got to spend many days together celebrating. Two days before Christmas, Cory and I were given 24 hours away and spent it on Coronado Island enjoying the the 60+ degree weather, good dinner and drinks and the fact that we weren't changing diapers for a while. On Christmas Eve we went to the children's service but our very unhappy babies got kicked out the nursery and decided that they did not want to hold still in the sanctuary. We did make it to the end and it was a really amazing service...at least what I saw from the back of the church:-) We got home just in time to eat take out Chinese food, Jax wrote the cutest letter to Santa and left out some cookies and carrots.

Jax was in heaven on Christmas day.Santa loaded his stocking and left him a really cool razor bike. The babes were into everything and mostly liked playing with Jackson's presents. I tried to get a good photo of the boys in their matching PJs but they were a little too squirmy. I did get some photos of the babes in their super hero onsies - although they look a little put off (it was nap time) they really did love them (thanks Auntie Karen!) The rest of the day was spent eating, drinking and watching the boys play with all their new stuff. An awesome day for sure.
The day after Christmas we went to Sea World for the first time. Jax especially liked Sesame Place and meeting the characters. He loved Snow Land and the sledding and throwing snow balls. Cory and I really liked that Nana and Papa were there so we could go on the roller coaster. We ate lunch on a deck over looking the river ride and Jax got to yell "hello' at all the passing riders. It was such a blast and we have already been back twice (added benefit to being San Diegans!) with plans to make it a regular Magnus hang out.

We rang in 2013 at 8 pm. We really tried to make it until 9 but the 4 and under crowd was ready for bed so we grabbed some pots and pans and banged them together in our front yard. Jax thought that was pretty great and I'm sure it is something that will be requested in the years to come. We spent the next day at Nana and Papa's beach rental on Solana Beach. We were lucky enough to have them around for another 2 weeks and had such a great time.
